Imrecon's approach to considering the impact of options for policy or strategy recognises that these are often dynamic processes interacting with a dynamic economic environment.
At other times, it is posible to reach satisfactory conclusions through a process of rational analysis without running simulations. Thinking through the effects of dynamic systems does need some care. Imrecon takes the view that rational analysis is necessary in any event. Simulations can inform or test the 'mental models' created in the minds of the analyst, but it is important that the impacts can be understood and described in simple terms. A decision maker needs an informed 'mental model' to consult and to make confident decisions. Imrecon helps decision makers simulate, understand, descibe and analyse these impacts, drawing from long experience working with policy makers and modelling the effects of their policy options. |
