Imrecon

Skills & methodologies E-mail

Imrecon has built on a foundation of accounting and financial modelling skills brought to bear on economics, policy development and decision support.

Development

Imrecon has constantly sought to adapt and develop techniques to gain insights into the issues relevant to its clients.  A core component of this work has been methodologies for modelling the effects of policy, drawing from ten years' experience of developing the modelling and data management environments for price cap reviews in a number of sectors.

Advisory aim

Imrecon's focus is to provide first class advice, and to inform and support that advice with authoritative analysis.  Modelling and other analytical techniques are means to that end.

Risk-informed

Ian Rowson became aware early in his career in regulatory economics that risk-aware and risk-based techniques would be important for a fluid understanding of the dynamics behind incentive policy and a wide range of other decisions.  Imrecon's advice and analysis is informed by this insight and the experience of developing and using these techniques.
